I'm so happy to have stumbled onto this blog and to review your interviews. I'm currently studying Vis Comm (aka graphic design) since I was told it was the closest thing to Illustration at SFSU. I aspire to launch myself to a local school that has an illustration curriculum after I get my bachelors, but hearing your guys' stories makes me so hopeful for the future. It's great to witness Latinos making it in the illustration/animation industry while retaining their cultural integrity. :)
